participating Oberoi Hotels and Resorts property worldwide. Members also
earn 500 miles per stay at any of the participating Trident Hotels.
Frequence Plus miles can be redeemed for free flights or upgrades on Air
France and with programme partners which have a burn option and for
stays at Oberoi Hotels and Resorts.
Membership of Frequence Plus is open to anyone over the age of 12 living
in a country where Frequence Plus applies. With the launch of this
international programme in October 2000, about two million Frequence
Plus members will earn miles each time they stay at any of The Oberoi
Group Hotels participating property.
”Air France is pleased to be associated with an international class
hospitality chain like The Oberoi Group.” Said Mr. Gerard Petit, General
Manager South Asia, Air France. “Our focus is to facilitate increased
comfort and convenience to our customers. The partnership allows members
tremendous flexibility to earn tickets to virtually anywhere in the
world, thanks to our ‘Sky Team’ partner airlines. Air France has 12
flights a week from Mumbai and Delhi and with a daily flight from Mumbai
next summer onwards, our corporate guests would find the offer
irresistible.” He added.
According to Ms. Ragini Chopra, Vice President, Corporate Communications
and Business Development, The Oberoi Group, “The partnership with Air
France’s Frequence Plus programme is a extension of our efforts to
partner with East and West bound carriers, providing better value to our
guests and enhancing our brand awareness in the principal markets of
these regions.”
“Airline Miles today have become an accepted value addition for the
international traveller. Contemporary travellers are shared guests of
both international airlines and hotel chains. Strategic alliances such
as this will allow both the airline and us in providing greater value to
our guests,” she added.
