Now in its
second year the Premier Travel Awards for Excellence are about to close
voting after almost a year, to start the counting for the 2000 Premier
Travel Award winners.
The Premier Travel Awards for Excellence are highly comprehensive and
targetted at the Asia Pacific region, categories include, best airlines,
hotels, destinations, bars and restaurants.
In each best hotel category only three entries are allowed, making it a
lot tighter and competitive than in 1999. Viewers are allowed to vote
for almost an entire year for their favourites by going online to :

One of the award categories, is where only one vote is allowed, and is
for the "Best Hotel in the World" the seven star Burj Al Arab in Dubai
was the winner in 1999.
The awards do not influence viewers in any way, giving viewers the
opportunity of voting for who they really want to win rather than a
choice of selected hotels. Plus nobody has to pay to enter, viewers or
hotels.
Steven Howard, Publisher of TravelNewsAsia.com commented, "We have
really enjoyed producing this years awards. The 2000 Premier Travel
Awards for Excellence are much more competitive than in 1999, and we
have received a lot more votes. We are pleased to see that hotels that
do not traditionally win awards are being nominated on a regular basis."
Voters are asked to vote on a criteria, of quality of service, location,
value for money and overall excellence.
The voting will be closed on December 10, 2000 and the winners are
expected to be announced 17 December, 2000.
The 2001 Premier Travel Awards for Excellence will be uploaded early
January 2001 and will be open for voting for almost a year.
Steven Howard commented, "We will once again be changing the format
slightly for the 2001 Premier Travel Awards for Excellence, offering
viewers more incentives to join in. We will be looking for sponsors over
the coming month to participate in these exciting Awards." |
