The third
Annual IGTM (International Golf Travel Market) takes place this December
in Florida (10 - 13 December). The event is being jointly hosted by two
of the world's most exciting and up and coming golfing destinations:
Jacksonville and St. Augustine and the Beaches, who together offer the
golfer of any level a superb range of courses and golfing facilities,
plus a whole host of other diverse attractions.
Northeast Florida boasts some 47 golf courses, ranging from plush
resorts to attractive public courses. Delegates to IGTM this December
will be able to experience a couple of the area's impressive courses
during the IGTM Official Golf Tournament, being staged on Wednesday 13th
December - the closing day of the show. The event will take place on the
TPC Valley and the Slammer and Squire Courses, and is kindly sponsored
by Florida's First Coast of Golf. TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course is
headquarters of the PGA Tour and its major event, the Players
Championship.
IGTM's host destination for year 2000 offers much more than just superb
golfing facilities, and visitors to the event can look forward to
sampling Jacksonville and St. Augustine and the Beaches' many other
attractions during their time off from appointments. Fine restaurants,
museums, art galleries, excellent hotels and a vast range of
entertainment are just a few of the attractions to tempt the visitor
away from the golf course. History lovers will enjoy a trip to historic
St Augustine - the USA's oldest, continuously occupied city. And of
course, Jacksonville's beaches are legendary, with more than 21 miles of
wide white sandy beaches within easy reach of the city.
With so much to offer, Jacksonville, St Augustine and the Beaches makes
the perfect venue for this year's International Golf Travel Market, and
the event is already on-track to be the biggest and most successful show
to date. With 5 months still to go over 70% of floor space has been sold
with representation from 28 countries already secured.
Exhibition Manager IGTM, Mark Walsh, is looking forward to welcoming
both exhibitors and buyers to Florida in December "IGTM's comprehensive
agenda of both business and networking and social opportunities,
combined with the superb host venue, will make this year's event a real
winner. For anyone involved in the golf travel sector, a visit to IGTM
this December is amust". |
