KLM CARGO TO INCREASE FUEL SURCHARGE ON AIR FREIGHT RATES TO 17 EURO CENTS

The recent ongoing increase of prices of aircraft fuel has compelled KLM Cargo to announce that, effective November 1, 2000, an increase of the existing fuel surcharge to all air cargo rates will be applicable.

The surcharge will be increased from current EUR 0.10 per kilogram or the equivalent in local currency, to EUR 0.17 to all cargo consignments. In countries where rates are denominated in USD the surcharge will be US$ 0.15.
