Ramada
International Hotels & Resorts today premiered the guest room design for
its innovative Encore Hotel, a stylish product that is designed to
appeal to young-spirited travellers of all ages in the mid-priced,
limited-service tier. Ramada International is currently in negotiations
to build the first Ramada Encore hotel in York, England.
“Our concept for Encore is based on lifestyle. The brand features
multi-functional, informal, ‘all-day,’ space; contemporary,
well-designed guest rooms with ergonomic work space; and signature
amenities,” said Reas Kondraschow, senior vice president and managing
director of Ramada International. “The ambience will be colorful,
exciting, informal and cutting-edge.
The public space and amenities will literally invite the guest outside
the guest room.”
Encore’s guest rooms are functional spaces featuring built-in desks,
night tables and bed frames. The use of bright colors throughout the
rooms make the most of the hotelier’s budget without sacrificing design
and comfort. Glass is the signature of Ramada Encore’s guest room
bathrooms – from interior bathroom walls to the vanity.
Mr Kondraschow added, “We are placing special emphasis on color because
color evokes emotion. A favourable guest experience is based on service,
meeting guest expectations and a ‘feel good’ factor. The ‘feel good’
aspect of the hotel experience can be influenced by color, design and
style. Finally, our unique use of color and light will allow us to
change the mood of the hotel from day into evening.”
Moving into the lobby, Ramada Encore guests will be greeted with an
intimate reception area and a gathering space called the Hub. Guests
will be encouraged to congregate, socialize and relax in the Hub, which
along with the guest rooms, will be equipped with Internet hook-ups so
guests can stay in touch with the world.
The hallmarks of all Ramada hotels will continue to be an essential
aspect of Encore as well. These are: a restful sleep, an invigorating
shower, well-trained staff, an exceptional level of cleanliness and the
“Ramada Morning Breakfast” – a selection that is hot, delicious and
easy.
All Encore hotels will feature Ramada’s signature complimentary
breakfast buffet as well as a limited-selection bar/brasserie menu,
including sandwiches and toasted panini. Guests who are pressed for time
on departure will also have the ability to order ‘Breakfast to Go’ when
checking in and their breakfast will await them on check out.
Mr Kondraschow said Ramada International is concentrating on attracting
franchises to grow Encore. “For one thing, this is a very cost effective
lodging product to develop with flexible deal terms. Its design is
flexible enough to address regional preferences. There is universal
appeal for the simpler value proposition offered by Encore. Finally,
there is a clear need in Central Europe, Asia, Australia and Latin
America for lodging products in the mid-priced tier, and Encore will be
backed by Ramada International’s commitment to guest service and
hospitality.”
Ramada Encore is the fourth product offering in the Ramada International
hotel brand portfolio. The others include Ramada Plaza, Ramada Hotels
and Ramada Resorts. There are currently 26 Ramada International Hotels
and resorts in operation in 14 countries around the world. Ramada
International is one of Marriott International Inc.’s lodging brands. |
