Today (23
November 2000), Thai Airways International Public Company Limited held a
Board of Directors Meeting, chaired by Mr. Srisook Chandrangsu, THAIs
new Chairman, with the following results:
1. Appointment of New Chairman
The Board of Directors approved the appointment of Mr. Srisook
Chandrangsu, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport and
Communications, as THAIs Chairman and a member of THAIs Board of
Directors, replacing Mr. Mahidol Chantrangkurn with immediate effect.
2. Product Improvement
The Board of Directors approved plans to improve seats, for increased
comfort, on six Boeing 777-300 aircraft. The first modified aircraft is
scheduled for completion in May 2001.
3. Cooperation for Information Technology System at Suvannabhumi Airport
The Board passed a resolution to approve in principle for THAI to join
with Aeronautical Radio of Thailand and Telephone Organization of
Thailand to prepare a proposal for operation of the Information
Technology System at Suvannabhumi International Airport. |
