Hyatt
International announced the mid-January opening of Hyatt Regency, the
only five-star hotel in the republic of Kyrgyzstan and the fourth Hyatt
property in the Commonwealth of Independent States (C.I.S.).
Conveniently located in the heart the capital city, the hotel is located
in the business and government district, across from the State Opera and
the Art Museum. Ideally placed to host the global business and
conference traveller in this burgeoning country, Hyatt hopes to also
welcome the international adventure and eco-travellers, attracted by the
pristine natural beauty of the country.
Hyatt Regency is a mixed-use property offering 186 generously sized
rooms, suites and long-stay residences, conference and banquet
facilities, restaurants, a health club and extensive office space.
According to Andre Pury, Senior Vice President, Hyatt International
Europe, Africa, Middle East, Hyatt International is delighted to be
able to continue to build on its track record in the C.I.S., following
the opening of the Hyatt Regency Baku in 1995, the Hyatt Regency Almaty
in 1996 and the Park Hyatt Baku in 1999. We are developing a strong
presence in central Asia where we have identified a high level of demand
by our international business clientele. We believe that there is also
the potential for a substantial increase in future growth, both in the
regional economy and through the continuing development of the tourist
sector.
Hyatt Regency is poised to set new standards for excellence in
hospitality in the city of Bishkek, becoming a new addition portfolio of
198 Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in 37 countries.
