Pick Your Favorite Fireworks Show And Go! Northwest Airlines Sets 4th Of July Fare Sale

Want to take the family to see the really big ones on the Mall in Washington, DC? Or to hear the really loud ones over Puget Sound? Maybe your favorite spot to watch fireworks is on an old blanket in your parents backyard. Wherever it is you want to be for the 4th of July, Northwest makes it possible with its holiday fare sale for travel throughout the United States (48 contiguous states) and Canada.

Between now and July 2, travelers looking for a quick holiday getaway can find discounts of as much as 35 percent off of Northwests Every Day Deals fares. Fares are valid for outbound travel from July 2 through July 4, 2000 with returns between July 4 and July 7, 2000.

Children traveling with adults save even more during this 4th of July fare sale with fares as low as $49 each way based on roundtrip travel.

"This is shaping up to be a very busy holiday for air travel," said Tom Bach, Northwest vice president domestic revenue management. "Even so, there are great values still out there for last-minute travelers who have some flexibility in their schedules."

Terms and Conditions:

Purchase Requirements: Adult and child/companion (ages 2-17) fares require a round-trip purchase in Coach Class. A 2-day advance purchase is required. Tickets must be purchased within 24 hours after reservations are made, or at least 2 days prior to departure, whichever comes first, but not later than July 2, 2000. Up to two child/companions allowed per paying adult. All passengers must confirm reservations, purchase tickets and check-in for flights at the same time. All passengers must travel together on the same flights on the same days.

Minimum Stay: Fares require a two night minimum stay.

Additional Taxes/Fees: Passenger Facility Charges of $1 to $3 per airport apply, up to a maximum of $12 roundtrip per person. Surcharges will apply. Canada: Fares do not include federal immigration fees, and departure taxes of up to $41.

Changes to Itinerary: Changes may be made prior to scheduled flights for a $75 administrative service fee. However, any change must meet the conditions of the new fare purchased.

Other Conditions: Tickets are nonrefundable. Seats are limited and may not be available. Fares are subject to change. Some travel may be on other airlines. Fares may not be lower than already-low fares to select destinations. Other restrictions may apply.
