Today (21
September 2000), following Thai Airways International's Board of
Directors' Meeting, THAI's Chairman of the Board, Mr. Mahidol
Chantrangkurn, announced results on selection of the incumbent airline
president. Out of 7 short-listed candidates, a total of 3 candidates
were selected by the Selection Committee for the Board of Directors'
consideration: Mr. Chaisak Saeng-Xuto, Mr. Prajak Jamrusmechoti (THAI's
Executive Vice President for Commercial), and Mr. Bhisit Kuslasayanon
(THAI's Executive Vice President for Customer Services).
Following a vote by THAI's Board of Directors, Mr. Bhisit Kuslasayanon
was unanimously selected as THAI's next incumbing president, effective
as of 1 October 2000 onwards. THAI's current president, Mr. Thamnoon
Wanglee, will retire on 30 September 2000. |
