Ansett
Australia has introduced a new Autumn menu on all daily flights between
Hong Kong and Sydney.
Renowned for its outstanding cuisine and service in economy and business
class, Ansett Australia has developed a menu featuring innovative Asian
and Australian dishes that are complemented by a broad selection of fine
wines.
Economy class customers can select from dishes such as Thai Flavour
Chicken Salad, a crisp salad with cucumber and lime chilli coriander
dressing, or Olive and Tomato Tapanade Baked Butter Cod Fish with
steamed zucchini, carrot, potato and leek. Customers can also select
from a wide variety of spirits, beers, red, white and sparkling wines
from Australia's premier wine producing areas.
In Business class, passengers have a choice of a light menu or a
five-course meal prepared by a five star qualified in-flight chef.
Customers can choose from a selection of appetizers followed by fresh
salad tossed chair-side . A selection of four main course dishes
includes XO Sauce Flavoured Chicken Stir Fry served with steamed rice,
bean curd and baby green beans and Aged Australian Beef Tenderloin with
rosemary and lavender-marinated glazed red onions, mashed potato and
Tasmanian pepper berry jus.
Dessert includes fresh fruit and cheese followed by the chef's dessert
buffet featuring the Ansett Dessert Degustation - a trio of coffee cream
sponge roulade, walnut layer slice and fig orange toffee.
From the lighter menu customers can enjoy the appetizer, freshly tossed
salad and soup - Spiced Pork and Water Chestnut Wontons with cos
lettuce, carrot sticks and yellow chive in a hot broth.
A freshly prepared breakfast before landing is served in both classes,
with business class passengers having the option of choosing their
wake-up time and menu choice from a breakfast card before they go to
sleep.
