Second Growth Announcement for United at Denver in June
The schedule expansion is the second growth announcement the carrier has
made regarding its Denver hub in June. Earlier this month, United
announced it was building a new $100 million, 36-gate regional aircraft
concourse, the largest commuter facility of its type in the company’s
history. In February, the carrier announced it would begin nonstop
service to Toronto, its third international destination from Denver,
beginning May 4.
United Airlines is the leading carrier at Denver International Airport,
United’s second largest hub. By November 1, United and United Express
will offer a combined 528 daily nonstop flights from Denver to 105
destinations throughout the U.S. and Canada. United employs nearly 8,500
people in the Denver area and is the fourth largest employer,
contributing more than $650 million annually to the Denver area’s
economy.
United Airlines offers more than 2,400 flights a day to 134 destinations
in 26 countries and two U.S. territories. United is a member of Star
Alliance. |
