Pegasus Solutions Appoints New Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Pegasus Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: PEGS), a leading provider of transaction processing and electronic commerce solutions to the hotel industry worldwide, today announced the appointment of Gary Siegel, age 53, to the position of senior vice president of human resources, effective August 14. Siegel brings more than 20 years of high-tech human resources experience to Pegasus, with notable expertise in the execution of global HR programs for expansion-oriented, high-tech companies with large employee bases.

Most recently, Siegel served at Hewlett Packard as director of corporate human resource services and global programs for VeriFone, a $500 million e-commerce payment transaction company within the company’s e-commerce group. During his tenure with Hewlett Packard, Siegel led HR initiatives for more than 3,500 employees in fifteen foreign countries, including worldwide compensation, benefits, retention and communication programs. In addition, he directed a worldwide integration program aimed at consolidating HR processes and procedures into the company’s corporate structure.

"Gary's extensive experience implementing HR programs domestically and internationally for major high-tech companies make him an excellent candidate to lead our HR efforts," said John F. Davis, III, president and chief executive officer of Pegasus Solutions. "His proven track record in strategic planning, expense reduction, and acquisition and integration of operations will be a tremendous resource as the Company expands its operations and grows its employee base beyond 2,200 people."

Siegel’s previous employers include, Quaker State Corporation; Hogan Systems; Sandoz, Ltd; Hitachi Semiconductor of America; and Harris Corporation.

Siegel holds a BBA from Southern Methodist University and attended the Executive Advance Management Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
