At Thai
Airways International Public Company Limited, Dr. Adisai Bodharamik,
Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, together with Mr. Veera
Susangkornkarn, Chairman of the Jet Sports Boating Association of
Thailand, and Mr. Vasing Kittikul, THAI’s Director, Commercial Promotion
Department, chaired a press conference to announce their sponsorship of
Thai National Team in the Jet Sports World Finals 2000. Also present at
the press conference were Thai Jet Ski National Team, Mr. Jetrin
Wattanasin, Mr. Pichet Setthura, Mr. Chaowalit Kuajaroon, and Mr.
Chockuthit Moree.
Mr. Vasing Kittikul, THAI’s Director, Commercial Promotion Department
said that, “THAI has always placed strong emphasis on promoting all
types of sports, especially those organized on an international level
such as the Jet Sports National Championship. Thai Airways International
has offered support and sponsorship towards this world event for five
consecutive years, in conjunction with the Jet Sports Boating
Association of Thailand and the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The
weather and geological advantages of Thailand have made jet sport the
all-season event, attracting large number of visitors to this country.
This is why the King’s Cup Jet Sports National Championship in Thailand
was ranked as one of the world’s best jet sport event. The players of
Thai National Team selected for the World Finals this year were Mr.
Jetrin Wattanasin, the winner of PRO RUNABOUT 785 SUPERSTOCK and EXPERT
RUNABOUT 1200 SUPERSTOCK, Mr. Chaowalit Kuajaroon, the winner of PRO
SPORT 785 SUPERSTOCK. Mr. Pichet Setthura and Mr. Chockuthit Moree have
also been selected to take part at the Jet Sports World Finals 2000 at
Lake Wahazu, U.S.A.
Mr. Jetrin Wattanasin was the Timed Slalom race winner at the 1999 Jet
Sports World Finals, the fastest player in the world. He was ranked
fourth in the EXPERT RUNABOUT 785 SUPERSTOCK world championship. Mr.
Pichet Setthura was ranked 10th and 11th in the EXPERT RUNABOUT 1200
SUPERSTOCK and LIMITED, Mr. Chaowalit Kuajaroon was ranked 15th in the
EXPERT SPORT 785 SUPERSTOCK. I am certain that this year the Thai
players have a very good chance of being among the top ten.”
Jet Sports World Finals 2000 is scheduled to take place during 8-15
October 2000, at Lake Wahazu, Arizona, U.S.A. Over 1,200 players from 46
countries worldwide are expected to attend the event from U.S.A.,
Australia, Thailand, Italy, France, Brazil, Japan, China, England,
Germany, Denmark, and Philippines. |
