Miami’s
prestigious new address – Mandarin Oriental, Miami – has just opened its
doors and is providing travellers with an enticing introductory room
offer from only US$180 per night.
The luxurious 329-room hotel, with its contemporary and dynamic design,
will provide unsurpassed levels of luxury and service for the business
and leisure traveller. The new deluxe waterfront hotel features Miami’s
most spacious rooms and suites which offer stunning views of Biscayne
Bay, the Atlantic Ocean from the hotel’s exclusive island location on
Brickell Key – just minutes from Miami’s international financial
district and close to Miami International Airport, South Beach, Bayside
and Coconut Grove.
Other facilities include The Spa at Mandarin Oriental (a deluxe
pampering spa due to open in early 2001), a comprehensive fitness centre
and large outdoor infinity-edge swimming pool. Dining facilities include
Café Sambal, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, an elegant lobby
lounge/bar and M-Bar, a martini and champagne bar overlooking Biscayne
Bay and Azul, the hotel’s 120-seat signature restaurant (open December
2000). Conference and banqueting facilities offering 15,000 square feet
of meeting space will cater for more than 600 people.
The $180 per night rate applies to all Island King rooms, one
king-bedded rooms with a view of the courtyard and surrounding waters.
The introductory rate for Skyline Water View rooms, with king or double
beds and a view of the Miami Skyline across Biscayne Bay are US$239 per
night.

attractive rate during the height of Miami’s winter holiday season,”

Room rates in the Winter (January 1 – March 31) and Fall 2001 (October 1
– December 31) season range from US$525 to US$740 per night; and suites
from US$1,200 to US$3,000. Spring (April 1 – May 31) room rates range
from US$475 to US$690 with suites US$1,000 to US$2,000. Summer (June 1 –
September 30) room rates range from US$395 to US$610 with suites
US$1,000 to US$2,000. The TaiPan Suite (Presidential Suite), which
includes separate living and dining rooms, fireplace, multi-media
screening room and private balcony, is US$4,000 per night. All room
rates are subject to availability.
