Air Canada
inaugurated today daily non-stop service between Kelowna and Toronto
when flight AC1192 (CP4192) left Kelowna 8:30 a.m. en route to Toronto's
Lester B. Pearson International Airport. The new service is also offered
on a codeshare basis by Canadian Airlines.
``We are delighted to introduce the only daily non-stop service between
Kelowna and Toronto,'' said George Reeleder, Air Canada General Manager,
Customer Service - B.C. and Pacific Rim, at an inaugural ceremony in
Kelowna today. ``We are also very pleased to respond to the growing
demand in travel to popular destinations in the Okanagan Valley and to
serve as a catalyst for more trade, travel and tourism between British
Columbia and Eastern Canada.''
Flights on the new route will be operated with Air Canada 112-seat A319
aircraft featuring the airline's acclaimed Executive and Hospitality
service.
Air Canada flight AC1192 (CP4192) leaves Kelowna at 8:30 a.m. and
arrives in Toronto at 3:30 p.m. From Toronto, AC1193 (CP4193) leaves at
5:33 p.m. and arrives in Kelowna at 7:03 p.m. The schedule is designed
to provide the maximum choice of connecting flights via Air Canada's hub
in Toronto.
To promote the new service, Air Canada is offering double bonus miles
when travelling for the first time on the new route between June 19 and
August 31, 2000. |
