Continental
Airlines (NYSE: CAL and CAL.A), in preparation for the start of daily
non-stop service to New York, has named Kenneth Yeung as country
director for Hong Kong and South China.
Yeung started his airline career more than 23 years ago with Cathay
Pacific Airlines. Prior to joining Continental Airlines, Yeung worked
for Singapore Airlines, KLM and for the past five years as general
manager sales and reservations for Virgin Atlantic. Yeung will report to
Walter Dias, Continental Airlines staff vice president – sales and
promotions.
“Kenneth brings immense knowledge and expertise of the Hong Kong and
South China region which will enable us to gain a greater foothold in
this part of the world,” said Dias.
Additionally, Continental also announced Balwin Yeung (no relation) as
country sales manager and Bessy Hui as country promotions manager. Both
are Hong Kong residents.
Balwin Yeung will manage corporate and passenger sales for the New York
and Guam markets. Hui will be responsible for Hong Kong promotions and
product marketing. Yeung previously worked for US Airways, Virgin
Atlantic Airlines, and the Mandarin Oriental Group. Hui previously
worked for United Airlines as manager – marketing and sales development,
where she was responsible for overseeing United’s e-commerce strategy,
marketing communications and Star Alliance promotional activities.
