For more than
20 years the Berlin chapter of the Cornell Hotel Society has organised a
breakfast at International Tourism Berlin (ITB) for all graduates and
friends of Cornell University's famous School of Hotel Administration.
This year the Hong Kong chapter of that organisation is to initiate the
same tradition at ITB's sister event, International Tourism Asia (ITA).
The gathering will be at 07:30 to 09:00 on Thursday, September 14 in the
Grand Hyatt Hotel, which adjoins the ITA's Hong Kong Convention and
Exhibition Centre venue. Grand Hyatt general manager David Udell is one
of more than 40 Society members based in Hong Kong. Members from other
chapters in Bangkok, Seoul, Singapore, Jakarta and Manila are expected,
along with some from even further afield. Affected ITA attendees are
asked to e-mail the Society at cornellhotelsociety@hongkong.com to
advise of their potential presence.
The Cornell Hotel Society is the alumni association of the Cornell
School of Hotel Administration, founded in 1922. The society, which
currently has 58 chapters worldwide, promotes the interests of the
entire Hotel School community and fosters fellowship, education,
professionalism, and training in the hospitality industry among its
members and provides scholarship support to students of the Hotel
School. |
