Century OPENS its second hotel

Century International Hotels has opened the Watergate Century Hotel Shenzhen, a 152-room property owned by Shenzhen Water Supply Co., Ltd. The property is Century’s second hotel in the People’s Republic of China.

Superbly located in the heart of Shenzhen’s financial district, the property is well positioned as an international business hotel. The location is near major banks, government offices and the Stock Exchange, on the city’s most well-known strip, Shennan Zhong Road. The hotel is part of a commercial complex owned by Shenzhen Water Supply Co., Ltd. Facilities include a swimming pool, informal restaurant and lounge, business centre and meeting rooms.

“The Watergate Century Hotel Shenzhen will complement Century’s recent expansion in Hong Kong with the existing flagship Century Hong Kong Hotel, the opening of Century Harbour Hotel in 1999 and Century Inn North Point which opens at the end of 2000,” remarked Mr. Brian Deeson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Century International Hotels.

Century International Hotels currently manages 21 hotels and resorts in seven Asian countries - Hong Kong SAR, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines. The 463-room Century Roxy Park Hotel, Singapore and Watergate Century Hotel, Shenzhen have recently opened while the Long Island Golf & Country Club in Dongguan, China is now managed by Century. The 211-room Century Inn North Point Hong Kong opens in December 2000.
