Grand Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong will be appointed as Fire
Safety Ambassador Trainers by the Chief Fire Officer Mr Lee Chee-chung,
JP, of the Fire Services Department, Fire Safety Command Community
Relations Division.
Grand Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong is the first participating
hotel in Hong Kong to have employees being certified as Fire Safety
Ambassador Trainers.
The Fire Safety Ambassador Scheme was established in 1997 by the Fire
Services Department. It aims to increase the fire safety awareness of
organizations, and to reduce fire incidents due to improper handling and
installation of fire services establishments. The ambassador trainers
were required to attend a two-day intensive training course comprising
all aspects on fire safety including procedures to handle fire
combustion, visit to fire stations and building inspections. |
