Whether you
prefer an ice cream during the movie or sipping on a fine glass of
Australian wine, customers in Economy Class on Ansett Australia
Spaceships can expect to receive a high standard of service and cuisine.
In Economy Class, Ansett's professional and friendly staff offer an
unexpected, fresh café-style service in a relaxing atmosphere. The
service features a two- tier meal service with one appetizer and main
meal tray, served with wine or other drink selections, followed by a
separate dessert service with tea, coffee, port or cognac. This allows
for larger meal sizes and more creative presentation.
According to Werner Kimmeringer, Ansett's Executive Chef, the most
important ingredient is freshness - fresh lean meats, poultry, fish,
vegetables and fruits. Ansett is able to produce an exceptionally high
standard of cuisine using Australia's famous seafood and farm produce
combined with herbs and spices from Asia.
The Hong Kong-Sydney Spring menu selection includes Pork and Bean
Vermicelli Salad, Ling Fish wrapped with herbs and black pepper, and
Five Spice Chicken with steamed rice and stir fry vegetable. In addition
to the two-tier meal service, snacks are available throughout the flight
and ice creams are served during movie time.
Ansett has launched the second in a series of new advertisements to
promote its brand, this month highlighting its inflight service and
entertainment.
The latest ad features the ice cream service in economy class, and will
appear in business and travel magazines, as well as the solus panel at
Hong Kong Airport Express Station, where Ansett has reserved space for
26 weeks.
Reconfirming customer satisfaction with Ansett's economy class service,
the World Long Haul Economy Class Survey in 1998 conducted by Inflight
Research Services, awarded Ansett with "Best Airline -
Australasia/Pacific" as well as "Best Onboard Catering". Ansett was
ranked second "Best Airline in the World".
Ansett Australia has been serving Asia since 1993. The airline currently
operates flights between Australia and four international destinations:
Bali, Fiji, Hong Kong, and Osaka, including daily flights between Hong
Kong and Sydney. Ansett Australia is wholly owned by Air New Zealand. |
