Travel News Asia Date: 16 October 2000

As from November 2000, Grand Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong will offer high speed Internet access in its guestrooms, providing business travellers with instant and convenient Internet access.

The service will be available in 272 rooms and in all suites as well as in the hotels’ meeting and conference facilities. The service will also allow guests to surf the Internet at high speeds while talking on the telephone, using just a single line.

A fast and convenient Internet access has become a must for today’s business travellers, who want to be able to connect wherever they are" explains Gerhard Hecker, General Manager of Grand Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong. "With the installation of the high speed Internet access, we are meeting the expectations of our corporate guests, who can now enjoy this service in the comfort of their room at a very reasonable charge."

Guests can select between a 24-hour unlimited access for HK$120 or an hourly usage for HK$30.

Grand Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong is one of the leading five star hotels in the business and leisure hub of Asia. The hotel recently changed its name to Grand Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong, following a franchise agreement with Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts.
