Entertainment Limited announced today that the Great Moscow Circus is
returning to Hong Kong. With a world class programme and in a wonderful
new setting. No more big venues for the Moscow Circus. This time the
Circus will be staged in the traditional mode; the Big Top Circus Tent.
Using the “Big Top Tent” allows the Circus to tour into the heartland of
the major residential areas of Hong Kong.
The Great Moscow Circus will open in Hong Kong in mid December this year
at the Victoria Park on Hong Kong Island. Then 35 sea containers will
move the Big Top, the animals and props to the other chosen locations of
Tai Wan, Tuen Mun, Tsuen Wan and Kwung Tong.
The Moscow Circus Big Top Tent is air-conditioned and has all chair
seating. The tent, a red and white candy striped structure, is an
attraction on its own. Not only does it look spectacular and provide
that magical circus atmosphere, but it also allows the show’s producers
to present the tour in different locations around Hong Kong. The people
of Hong Kong will have the opportunity of seeing the Show right on their
doorsteps!
“After more than 2 years groundwork, we are very pleased to bring what
is probably the most popular and wholesome family entertainment event
you can ever see, right to where the people live by staging it for the
first time in a Big Top Tent in major residential centers throughout
Hong Kong. We are most grateful for the support and cooperation we have
received from the various government departments of the Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region,” said Mr. Michael Coad, Chief Executive
of Worldwide Entertainment Limited. “It is their help that will make
this ‘touring’ circus a success”.
“In support of the Community Chest, Worldwide Entertainment is most
pleased to donate all seats for the Opening Night at Victoria Park to
the Chest for fund raising purposes,” announced Mr. Coad. Making a
special trip from Russia was the celebrated Moscow Circus Ringmaster
Alexander “Sasha” Frish. He demonstrated and taught some simple circus
arts to a small group of local children.
Recognised and applauded by audiences around the world the Moscow Circus
will bring a collection of its biggest and brightest stars to entertain
the people of Hong Kong and Macau. Over 65 circus artists will arrive
from Moscow in early November to start preparation for the 5-month tour.
Daring human performers, magnificent animals including dogs, horses,
chimps, tiger and puma join together in a sparkling new program. None of
them have ever been seen in Hong Kong before. New acts, new tricks, new
sensations. |
