Cathay Pacific
Airways today extended the booking period for its recently launched
Starlight Express promotional fares for flights to Taipei and Singapore.
Passengers can now book the fares until the end of November. Starlight
Express is a promotional fare for flights to Taipei or Singapore
available on Cathay Pacific's Website since October. On certain days and
flights the round-trip fare to Taipei is an irresistible HK$900, and to
Singapore just HK$1,380.
Travel must be booked by 30 November 2000, and the trip completed by 14
December. For bookings and full terms and conditions for this special
promotion, customers can visit: www.cathaypacific.com. The trips can
only be booked through Cathay Pacific's online booking engine.
The booking engine has recently been enhanced to make it easier to use
and to allow passengers to book one-way or multi-segment trips including
stopovers. Each user can now book up to six seats at a time and do so as
little as three hours before the flight departure. Payment is made by
credit card. Users can request their ticket to be sent by mail, issued
at the airport, or they can use Cathay Pacific's electronic ticketing
service where no paper ticket is required.
The Cathay Pacific Website also features a number of other enhanced
features including an improved flight time information service enabling
users to access Cathay Pacific's flight schedules anywhere, any time.
Users can search for the flight by flight number, route, or airport.
Up-to-the-minute information about the flight will be displayed
including time of arrival and departure and the latest status.
Travellers and their friends and family can also now have the latest
flight information sent directly to their mobile phones or email
accounts with the new flight paging feature notiFLY. Users can request
notiFLY messages send to them from one to four hours before flight
departure. An email or SMS (short message service) will be sent if their
flight is diverted, cancelled or delayed by over 30 minutes. The notiFLY
service is available to subscribers of most mobile networks.
The revamped Website gives Asia Miles and Marco Polo Club members easier
access to membership services. Members can now manage their account from
their home, office, hotel, or inflight. Features include mileage
checking, updating personal details, redemption, online enrolment, and
bidding in online auctions.
The improved Website is just one of the many e-Business initiatives
being undertaken by Cathay Pacific as part of its aim to become Asia's
leading e-Business airline. The airline has initiatives in areas
including passengers, cargo, and procurement, CX team, and future
opportunities. |
