Thai Airways
International Public Company Limited announced that commercial
cooperation between THAI and EL AL Israel Airlines has been reached
through the signing of a code-share agreement between THAI, represented
by Mr. Veravat Chotiros, Vice President, Industry Relations and
Commercial Support, and EL AL Israel Airlines, represented by Mr. Nahum
Kara, Director, Marketing and International Affairs, on the route
Bangkok – Tel Aviv – Bangkok.
Mr. Veravat Chotiros said, “ THAI and EL AL cooperation will enhance
tourist traffic between the two countries. According to the figure from
the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in 1999, 64,000 Israeli tourists
visited Thailand. Also, through a cooperation, THAI is now able to offer
its code-share service to a large number of Thai workers for travelling
to and from Israel.”
THAI currently code-shares on EL AL three flights per week on the route
Bangkok – Tel Aviv flight TG4580 on Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday. As for
return flights, the airline has offered three fights per week on the
route Tel Aviv – Bangkok flight TG4581 on Sunday, Wednesday, and
Thursday.
