Hilton
International recently won a total of five awards at events in London
and Paris.
In London, on Tuesday 28th November, Hilton International won two awards
at The HotelSpec European Hotel Design & Development Awards 2000. The
awards recognise design excellence and encourage best practice
throughout the European hospitality sector.
Hilton International was awarded the Best Hotel Architectural Design
trophy for the new Hilton Budapest WestEnd hotel in Hungary. This was
chosen because its modern style has been skilfully blended with
traditional Magyar architecture to produce a contemporary international
hotel.
The Hilton Lyon was the winner in the Most Environmentally Responsible
Hotel Innovation category in recognition of the environmental technology
that has been incorporated in the fundamental design of the hotel. Its
skilful use of glass and vertical fabric blinds reduces the load on the
air conditioning and conserves energy.
