NORTHWEST AIRLINES OFFERS VIRTUAL TOUR OF ITS NEW WORLD BUSINESS CLASS

Travel News Asia Date: 11 December 2000

Fly World Business Class and Earn Enough Miles for a Free Ticket

What’s the next best thing to flying in Northwest Airlines’ new World Business Class? How about taking a virtual tour of its enhanced business class service, which features significant increases in seat pitch and recline as well as a host of service upgrades. Customers can visit www.nwa.com/service/bustrav/wbc/tours.html for a full view of this expanded service and all that it has to offer Northwest’s passengers.

“The more people that see our new service, the more they’ll want to fly in our new World Business Class,” said David Wookey, Northwest vice president-Asia. “This new product will be one of the leading business class services in the trans-Pacific market.”

Northwest and partner KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced in September, 2000 the launch of an improved international business class service that provides customers more than 50 percent additional personal space, a seat pitch of at least 60 inches and improved recline, better in-flight cuisine, new digital audio system and a host of other enhancements. To date, Northwest has refurbished 37 percent of its international aircraft. Reconfiguration will be complete on all Northwest aircraft by March 31, 2001.

To celebrate Northwest’ new World Business Class, customers can earn 10,000 WorldPerks Bonus Miles each time they purchase and travel round-trip in World Business Class through January 31, 2001. “We are pleased to offer this added incentive to the traveling public to try our new World Business Class,” Wookey said. “They won’t be disappointed.”

When the 10,000 Bonus Miles are combined with actual flight miles, passengers will have enough miles for a free trip within Asia. Northwest’s WorldPerks frequent flyer program offers one of the fastest and most convenient ways to earn free travel. WorldPerks has been widely recognized as one of the top frequent flyer programs in the industry.
