American
Airlines announced today that it would start non-stop service between
Los Angeles International Airport and Toronto, beginning Nov. 1.
American will fly the route using one of its new Boeing 737-800 aircraft
that is configured with 20 first class and 114 coach seats. Coach
passengers will enjoy American's "more room in coach" seating
configuration that offers all passengers at least 34 inches of legroom.
Both the first class and coach cabins also feature state of the art
seats with ergonomic comfort and design.
By November, American and its regional airline partner American Eagle
will offer 200 daily departures at LAX. In addition, service between
Toronto and Los Angeles will complement American and American Eagle's
route network between the U.S. and Canada, which includes 132 daily
flights to and from seven Canadian cities.
"This new route gives our passengers in two of our key markets yet one
more reason to choose American Airlines. As we add service in both Los
Angeles and Canada, the customer response has been strong, and we
continue to look for more opportunities for growth," said Henry Joyner,
American's senior vice president for planning.
American's flight to Toronto will depart LAX each day at 9:20 am, and
arrive at Toronto Pearson International at 5:16 p.m. The flight from
Toronto will depart at 6:10 p.m. and arrive at LAX at 8:31 p.m. |
