Ramada
International Hotels & Resorts will open the first Ramada International
Plaza hotel in Wuhan, China this fall. Plaza is Ramada International’s
upper tier product, offering more luxurious amenities than the standard
Ramada International hotel.
The owner is Hubei Postal Apartment Ltd., and the general manager is
David Yip.
The 310-room Ramada Plaza Tian Lu Hotel will be located at 5 Youth Road,
in the heart of Wuhan, 25 kilometers from Tian He International Airport
and three kilometers from Hankou Railway Station.
Guest rooms will feature IDD/DDD telephones with sockets for fax
machines and Internet access, televisions with satellite channels,
mini-bars, in-room safe, and in-room coffee- and tea-making facilities.
The Ramada Club level rooms will have ISDN lines for high-speed Internet
access. In addition, the hotel will have babysitting services on-site,
complimentary parking, facilities for disabled guests, 24-hour room
service, laundry and valet service, free airport shuttle to the hotel
and a medical clinic.
For dining, guests will be able to choose from the hotel’s four
restaurants – Grand View Revolving Café, Yalanxuan Chinese Restaurant,
Eiffel French Restaurant and the Ramada Sports Bar and Restaurant. In
addition, the hotel will have two bars, a lounge for Ramada Club guests
and a gourmet shop.
For leisure and entertainment, guests will be able to take advantage of
the hotel’s spa, which includes sauna and massage, heated indoor
swimming pool, health club and a beauty salon/barber shop, as well as
access to nearby tennis courts and golf course.
The Ramada Plaza Tian Lu Hotel will offer extensive business facilities
for travelers, including a business center with two private offices; a
multi-function room that will hold up to 400 people for a banquet and
650 people for a cocktail party; and 13 meeting rooms with LCD,
simultaneous translation systems, overhead projectors, built-in screens
and video cameras.
Ramada Plaza is designed to meet the needs of today’s travelers with
luxury amenities and services. All Ramada Plaza hotels have mini-bars in
every room, large televisions with at least two English language
channels and a movie channel, sunrise check-in as early as 7 a.m.,
air-conditioning and climate control in every room, a 24-hour health
club, concierge services in English, meeting space, at least one
restaurant and bar, and 24-hour room service.
Ramada International currently has two hotels in China – one in
Guangzhou with 331 rooms and the other in Hong Kong with 205 rooms. Two
additional Ramada Plaza hotels are currently under conversion in China
and will open in late 2000 and early 2001. One hotel will be located in
Shanghai and the other in Suzhou.
