Dragonair has appointed Albert Yau to the position of General Manager,
Cargo. He will oversee the development of the airline's freight business and
services at a time when they are expanding rapidly, underpinned by economic growth in the China Mainland.
Mr.
Yau, who has worked in the aviation industry for 14 years, joined Dragonair in 1997 as Manager, Cargo, a position he held for two years. Prior
to taking up his latest position he was General Manager, Northern China,
based in Beijing.
In addition to the network of passenger services in the China Mainland and
Taiwan, Dragonair's all-cargo network currently covers seven destinations
in Asia, Europe and the UK, and the airline is looking to expand this further.
The cargo fleet comprises three Boeing 747-300s, with a fourth freighter set
to enter service in the middle of this year.
Mr. Yau holds a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA, both from the
Chinese University of Hong Kong. |
