Thailand based Dusit Group recently
appointed Mr. Keith D. Blott as Group Director of Marketing and Sales, and Ms Lalana Santos, Corporate Director of Public
Relations & Communications, both for Dusit Hotels & Resorts and Royal
Princess Hotels & Resorts.
Immediately prior to his present position,
Mr. Blott was Regional Director of
Sales and Marketing of One&Only Resorts, Maldives and Middle East. Other
previous posts he has held include Vice President, Global Sales of Raffles
International Hotel and Resort, at the same time also Director of Marketing of
Properties in the group, Raffles The Plaza and Swissotel The Stamford (formerly Westin Plaza and Westin Stamford) in 2001-2002, and Regional
Director, Marketing, Southeast Asia of Six Continents Hotels & Resorts, Asia
Pacific (now InterContinental Hotels Group) in 1999-2000, and before that
Director of Marketing & Sales Development-Asia Pacific for Bass Hotels &
Resorts (now InterContinental Hotels Group).
A British-Australian national, Blott began his career in the UK and has since
worked in many countries, including, Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai.
Ms Lalana
Santos, newly appointed Corporate Director of Public Relations &
Communications of Dusit Hotels & Resorts, was Public Affairs Director at the
Australian Embassy Bangkok for two years prior to taking up her new post.
Key posts she has held in the hospitality field include Marketing Communications Director for Chiva-Som International Health Resort (’99-2001),
in the same position (and part of the opening team) for JW Marriott Bangkok
(’96-’99), Group Public Relations Director for Felix Hotels and Resorts (Jan.
’96-Nov.’96) and Public Relations Director for Siam Inter-Continental
Hotel in 1987.
Lalana started work as Account Executive at PRESKO Group (Bangkok’s
leading public relations agency at that time). She was also General Manager-Public Relations Division of McCann-Erickson Thailand. Her foray into
publishing included Deputy Editor for “Thailand Tatler” magazine when it
launched in ’92.
She graduated from Curtin University (Perth, Western Australia) with a B.A.
degree in English, majored in Journalism. |
