Marriott appoints new Regional Vice President, Brand Marketing for the Asia Pacific and Australia region

Marriott International has named Belinda Pote Regional Vice President, Brand Marketing for the Asia Pacific & Australia region. Based in Hong Kong, Ms. Pote reports to Susan Thronson, Senior Vice President of International Marketing.

Ms. Pote is responsible for building brand awareness through a single voice to consumers, maintaining brand identity and marketing skill development while driving revenue to meet the business objectives of the region. She will also be accountable for guiding hotels on marketing direction to support both regional and corporate strategies.

Ms. Pote joined Marriott International’s Asia Pacific regional team in September of 1999 as Regional Director, Field Marketing, Asia Pacific & Australia. Prior to joining Marriott, Belinda worked in London, United Kingdom in the advertising agency industry and then at McCann-Erickson Agency in Hong Kong for eight years. During her time at McCann in Hong Kong, she worked on the Cathay Pacific Airways worldwide account from the launch of the new livery in 1993, with responsibilities for brand communications in over 45 countries worldwide.
