Emirates launches Christchurch service

Emirates has launched its inaugural flight to Christchurch.

The Emirates Christchurch service is an onward connection from its Dubai-Melbourne nonstop service launched July 1st. Operating the new A340-500 aircraft, Emirates’ Dubai - Melbourne - Christchurch service will double from current three a week to six - weekly by August 16.

Christchurch is Emirates’ second destination in New Zealand after Auckland, where it currently operates daily flights to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. By mid August Emirates will offer 27 flights a week to New Zealand.
