Korean Air appoints Simon S.J. Yang as Managing Vice President, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia

Korean Air has appointed Mr. Simon S.J. Yang as its Managing Vice President, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia Region. He will be responsible for the airline’s passenger and cargo business in the region.

Mr. Yang has served in a variety of capacities with Korean Air over a period of almost 27 years. As Managing Vice President of the Cargo Division, he spearheaded that division’s growth from 1995-2003. He has also worked in various other departments, including Planning and Management, Legal Affairs, and the Regional Passenger Sales Office in Seoul.

Mr. Yang received a bachelor’s degree in Law at Seoul National University, and he specialized in International Law at the same university’s graduate school.

He and his wife, Cho Chung Sil, have two sons and his hobbies include hiking, ba-duk and golf.
