Kempinski Hotels &
Resorts has added a deluxe hideaway resort on the Greek island of Mykonos to its growing portfolio.
The Kempinski Resort Saint
John has 145 rooms and suites (each with either whirlpool bath or steam shower) and three private
villas, each of which has its own swimming pool and gardens. The resort is currently closed over the winter season and will
re-open as a Kempinski resort in Easter 2005.
Ideally situated on Aghios Ioannis Beach, just 4.5 km from the port of Mykonos and a similar distance from the airport, the
Kempinski Resort Saint John offers breathtaking views of the Aegean and the sun setting behind the island of Delos,
the birthplace, according to Greek mythology, of Apollo and Diana, the children of
Zeus.
There are three restaurants and three bars, a pool terrace and beautiful gardens leading down to a private sandy beach. The
beauty and fitness centre includes sauna, jacuzzi, hammam, indoor heated pool, aromatherapy, massage therapists and mud
baths. The resort has the largest hotel swimming pool on the island (salt-water) as well as tennis courts, childrens pool and
arrangements with a local horse-riding school.
Events and meetings can be catered for up to 450 persons, with over 200 m of exhibition space and workshop areas to support
the conference facilities.
