cargo counts GmbH, is making its first mark in the Asian market by announcing a
strategic alliance with AirAsia. A signing ceremony was held Wednesday to mark the 3
year cargo management contract, which will take effect in September 2004.
Following the agreement, AirAsia will provide unutilized aircraft cargo space to
cargo counts, who will then undertake cargo management for AirAsia. Cargo
counts operations which covers Malaysia as well as the international markets,
includes all cargo relevant activities such as sales, marketing, handling,
accounting, IT, controlling as well as the flight data-, yield- and capacity
management.
AirAsia presently transports cargo to domestic destinations through local cargo
company, ATR Express.
