Mr Eric Brand
has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Orchard Hotel Singapore.
In his new capacity, Mr Brand will be responsible for the overall business
operations and success of this 674-room five-star hotel situated in the heart of the
famous Orchard Road and home to well known and celebrated Chinese restaurant
Hua Ting and Orchard Café.
Commenting on his position, Mr Brand remarked, "It is a great honour for me to be
working for the fast-growing international chain of Millennium & Copthorne. I am
very excited to be part of the team and to continually improve and modernize in
order for Orchard Hotel Singapore to stay the first choice of our customers".
Prior to taking the helm at Orchard Hotel Singapore, Mr Brand was General
Manager of the Mövenpick Resort Al Nawras in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He was also formerly General Manager of The Windsor Hotel in Melbourne, Australia for 5 years and before that he was General Manager of The Shilla Hotel in
Seoul, Korea.
A veteran in the hotel industry, Mr Brand's earlier appointments in Asia include
those held as Resident Manager at The Oriental Bangkok and Food & Beverage
Manager at The Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong. Prior to that, his hospitality career
took him to numerous countries around Europe and the United Kingdom where
he held a series of key positions with various hotels and hotel chains.
Mr Eric Brand is also a graduate of Ecole Hotelière in Geneva and the World
famous Ecole Hotelière in Lausanne, both in Switzerland. He was born and raised
in Geneva, Switzerland and is married with two children.
