Mark Simmons is joining
Joe Cauchi at Delivering Asia in Hong Kong as Vice President - Business Development.
Simmons will be responsible for developing all Sales and Marketing activities of
Delivering Asia. His role entails strategic planning, as well as the formulation and
implementation of Sales and Marketing strategies for clients. Apart from
overseeing the Group's two brand new divisions, "Hospitality Sales and Marketing
Outsourcing/Solutions" and "Hospitality Sales & Marketing Executive Resources", other key areas of focus include developing the South East Asia
market, as well as increasing the Group's revenue growth.
Delivering Asia has successfully established itself as one of Asia's leading
hospitality Sales & Marketing groups with current clients including Six Senses
Hotels & Resorts, Sanctuary Resorts, Orient-Express Trains & Cruises, Hotel
Littre' Paris, Uma Ubud, Bali and Bali Pavilions.
Mr. Simmons has over 16 years of senior hospitality industry experience in the
areas of sales and marketing in Asia. Having worked in Australia, Hong Kong,
Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Middle East, Mr. Simmons' international
outlook and knowledge of diverse cultures will be an asset in his role.
Mr. Simmons began his career in the hospitality industry with Radisson Hotels in
Australia in 1987. He moved to Asia and joined Century International Hotels in
1991 and held senior property based Sales and Marketing roles until 1997 in Hong
Kong and Bangkok as well as pre-opening assignments in Indonesia and Vietnam. At the end of 1997, he joined the globally award winning, Jumeirah
Beach Hotel in Dubai as Director of Sales and Marketing. In 1999 he re-joined
Century International Hotels as Vice-President Marketing & Sales based in Hong
Kong and in 2001 was responsible for the Sales & Marketing integration of the
Century Group into Accor Hotels following the acquisition of Century by Accor. He
was subsequently appointed Director of Sales - Asia for Accor in October, 2001
responsible for the groups Regional Sales Offices and Hotel Sales strategies, an
area that stretched from Japan to Indonesia. His last position was Hotel Manager
at The Landmark Bangkok.
