Amadeus e-Travel partners with TQ3 to deliver localised Corporate Travel management solutions

Travel News Asia 28 May 2004

e-Travel, a global leader in online travel solutions and the e-commerce business unit of Amadeus, today announced a major agreement with TQ3 Travel Solutions Singapore (TQ3). As part of a multi-year agreement, TQ3, one of the world's largest providers of travel management services, will deliver e-Travel's global corporate booking solution, e-Travel ® Aergo V6, to its corporate customer base.

Mr. Simon Heng, General Manager, Corporate Travel Services, TQ3 Singapore, said, "Corporations are increasingly aware that focusing on travel is one of the most effective ways for them to cut costs. Our partnership with e-Travel deepens both companies' commitments to delivering solutions to corporations and services that significantly benefit their bottom line."

With the continued expansion of global managed travel programs, e-Travel's corporate online booking strategy addresses the needs of multinationals implementing global online booking programs, helping them achieve cost and time saving and realising the highest return on investment. The Corporate Travel market is increasingly requesting online booking tools that are international in scope, and e-Travel is successfully leveraging Amadeus' global presence to respond to these market needs, with products like Aergo V6. Launched in the region only in December 2003, Aergo is drawing considerable interest.

Mr. Peter Smith, Director, for the e-Travel business unit in Asia Pacific, said, "This partnership with TQ3 brings the number of new partners in the region for Aergo to three, and we expect this growth to continue. Online booking tools for corporations are going to represent the 'next wave' in the development of Corporate Travel in the region."

He added, "We expect to make a dramatic impact on the market behind a strong focus on the delivery of industry-leading technology, and the full range of e-Travel cost-saving solutions, tailored to the needs of corporations as well as airlines throughout the region."
