Tickets to the Wimbledon Tennis Championship in June and entry to the exclusive
Gatsby Club at the event, along with accommodation and flights to London, will be
won by a visitor to the VisitBritain stand at the Arabian Travel Market 2004
(ATM)
this May. VisitBritain, the UK tourist authority, is offering this holiday of a lifetime for tennis
fans in a competition for visitors to the show on the two public days. The Gatsby Club is a luxury marquee hospitality complex at the main entrance of
the world famous Championship courts which uses art deco to transport guests
back to the elegance of the 1920s depicted in F Scott Fitzgerald’s tragic character
Jay Gatsby. Hostesses at the club dressed in period costume add to the atmosphere of opulence while they serve the best in English hospitality. The Gatsby hospitality prize includes top class seats at the competition. The
ATM is open from May 4 - 7 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Though largely
aimed at trade buyers the show will be open to the public on Thursday May 6th
from 5 pm to 8 pm and on Friday the 7th from 4 pm to 9 pm, when visitors will be
able to win a wide variety of prizes from competitions run by various exhibitors. Entry cost is just 5 Dhs per adult. Kids enter free of charge but must be
accompanied by an adult. Entry is free on production of a Visa card. Matt Thompson, Group Exhibitions Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), which
organises the ATM, said: “The public days let people see all that’s new in the travel
trade and allows them to find out about bargains available for the coming summer
holiday season. “For members of the public,
the ATM provides a window on the world as they will see what is on offer both in the region and the rest of the world.” |
