The Shilla
Seoul has opened its new spa facilities in association with the world famous L’Institut de
Guerlain.
The Shilla opened its first Guerlain Spa earlier this year at its sister resort, The Shilla Jeju, on the popular holiday and honeymoon island off Korea’s southern coast.
Part of the prestigious LVMH Group, L’Institut de Guerlain has been synonymous with luxury cosmetics, fragrances and skin-care products since 1939. Its flagship spa
is on the Champs Elysees in Paris.
For the grand opening of its spa at The Shilla Seoul, Guerlain has trained masseurs and beauty therapists to its exacting international standards to provide a vast range
of treatments from Europe and Asian, as well as its famous range of beauty products.
The facility is being managed by the prestigious Spa Chakra Alliance--operators of spas in a growing number of the world’s most luxurious hotels and resorts
worldwide.
The L’Institut de Guerlain’s 12 treatment rooms, including 2 wet rooms, are elegantly appointed, reflecting an air of luxury while creating a relaxed atmosphere with the
use of the finest imported fabrics and equipment.
A unique Foot Bath space featuring hydraulically operated client lounges overlooks the magnificent Shilla Japanese gardens – enhanced by specialised lighting and
aromatherapy to create a sensory experience.
The Shilla group, a member of the prestigious The Leading Hotels of the World, was selected by Guerlain to spearhead its international network of luxury flagship spas in
leading destination cities worldwide. Future locations will include: Paris, Beijing, Shanghai, Barcelona, Madrid, Boston, Bal Harbor (Miami), Hong Kong, Tokyo, London,
