As
the total impact of the devastating Tsunamis that hit the western shores
of Thailand and many other countries in Asia Sunday, becomes more
apparent, new problems and difficulties faced by the rescue teams and
medical staff are beginning to emerge.
In
Thailand the Red Cross is calling for people to donate blood to make up
for a serious shortage, particularly those blood types more common to Westerners than
Asians. The Red Cross said that all blood groups are needed but especially Rh negative.
Donations
can be made at Police Hospital, Siriraj Hospital or to the Thai Red
Cross.
