Asian Hotels Alliance eyes USA Market

The Asian Hotels Alliance (AHA) is to exhibit for the first time at the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) annual convention and trade show in the USA.

NBTA’s 36th Annual Convention & Trade Show will be held in Orlando, Florida from August 1 – 4, 2004. With more than 350 exhibitors, the show brings together buyers and suppliers to exchange ideas, network and demonstrate new products and services. Last year’s event broke all attendance records, and is poised to have another record-breaking year in Orlando. 85% of the 2003 attendees rated the trade show as a very important factor in their decision to attend NBTA’s annual convention. Attracting business travel professional from all over North America, NBTA’s convention also offers more than 50 education sessions, many taught by professors from the famous Wharton School of Business.

“AHA has identified corporate travel as a priority segment for marketing cooperation and has attended past business travel shows in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, and London. This year, we are pleased to participating in NBTA, considered by many to be the most important business travel show in the world” said Jeff Flowers, Senior Vice President of the Marco Polo Hotel Group and current Chairman of the AHA Marketing Committee.

To help introduce AHA to the delegates, a lucky draw will be held for AHA booth visitors, prizes include air tickets courtesy of Cathay Pacific Airlines to Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore with luxury suite accommodation at AHA member hotels.

The Asian Hotels Alliance is an association of Asia based hotel companies who have formed a marketing collaboration to better serve existing and future customers. Members include Dusit Hotels & Resorts (Thailand), Landis hotels & Resorts (Taiwan), Marco Polo Hotel Group (Hong Kong), Meritus Hotels & Resorts (Singapore) and New Otani Hotels (Japan).
