Dragonair has appointed Singmay Chou as General Manager, Marketing, with responsibility for the airlines
marketing communications, product, marketing planning, overseas sales and loyalty marketing. She joins at a time
when the airline is undergoing a major expansion of its fleet and is extending its network into new markets.
Ms. Chou joins Dragonair from Towers Perrin in Hong Kong where she was a Management Consultant for four
years. She also served as Strategic Planning Director for J. Walter Thompson for two years.
Ms. Chou has extensive experience of the commercial aviation industry, having worked in the US for both United
Airlines and Northwest Airlines.
She was with United from 1986 to 1991, holding various management positions in the areas of financial analysis,
route planning, and reservations operations. Working at Northwest from 1991-1996, she held management positions
in frequent-flyer operations, route planning and market development.
Ms. Chou holds a double degree of Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School, University of
Pennsylvania in the US, and a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from the same university, as well as an MBA
from Harvard Business School. |
