Jordan’s new Spa Experience at the Dead
Sea will be the country’s main focus at this years Arabian Travel Market 2004
(ATM).
More than 14 hotel groups and tour operators will be exhibiting at the Jordan
Tourism Board’s 180 square metre stand at the show, which runs from May 4
- 7 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Tourist Board Managing Director, Marwan Khoury, said: “We have a lot going on
this year including the Jerash Festival in the summer and various events across
the country but the Dead Sea resorts remain the biggest tourist pull along with
visits to the ancient city of Petra which traces its origins to the 6th century BC.
“Le Royal Hotels will have their own 30 square metre stand at the show and we
will be hosting our national carrier, Royal Jordanian, along with leading tour
operators and hotel groups.”
To date more than 1,200 exhibitors from 55 countries have signed up for ATM
which is already bigger in floor space by 25 per cent on last year.
Matt Thomson, Group Exhibitions Director, Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), which
organizes ATM, said: “Tour operators and resorts are offering a wider variety of
experiences and events in the Middle East and that is stimulating intra region
tourism.” |
