Encouraged by previous successes at The Hotel Show,
a leading hotel supplies exhibition, manufacturers from 26 countries including Singapore,
the UK and Oman will once again join a line-up of leading global hotel suppliers
in Dubai on 17-19 May.
Organised by event management and marketing specialists Streamline
Marketing, The Hotel Show takes place at Airport Expo Dubai and gives hotel
owners, operators and developers the chance to see the latest products and
services vital to a hotel’s day-to-day running.
Leading Singapore manufacturer of ceramic and melamine ware, Landex
Ceramine, returns to The Hotel Show this year with its latest range of crockery.
Designed after extensive consultations with chefs and restaurateurs, the new
range is produced at the company’s factory in Xiamen, a province in China
renowned for the translucency of its ceramic ware.
“Last year we had around 90 visitors at our stand and they were all genuine
buyers, so The Hotel Show is the perfect stage to launch our new collection in
the region” said Leck Tin Heng, the company’s director.
Founded 50 years ago, the company is one of the leading suppliers of tableware
products in the Far East and its clients include Singapore International Airline
and Raffles Hotels & Resorts.
“Our aim is to achieve in the Middle East what we have already achieved in East
Asia, so finding prospective partners and distributors will be a priority for us at
this year’s exhibition,” he said.
Sico Europe, a UK-based manufacturer of stages, mobile insta-walls, folding
conference and room service tables, housekeeping trolleys and luggage carts,
will showcase its latest range of luggage carts. The luggage carts are available in
a range of models and arrive fully assembled with no set-up time required.
“Around 30 per cent of our hospitality revenue is generated in this region and we
hope our participation at The Hotel Show will help us to achieve this and more in
the years to come,” said Graham Dimond, the company’s sales manager.
Omani manufacturer of the ‘Raha’ beds, mattresses and sofas, Poly Products, is
also returning after its successful attendance last year. The company has
branches in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and saw its regional turnover
reach $20 million last year and expects to witness a bullish 2004.
“The massive amount of hotel development under way in the Middle East means
this is a tremendously lucrative market for hotel suppliers,” said Laith
Kubba, director of Streamline Marketing. “We expect the final number of exhibitors to be
the largest yet.”
Visitors this year can expect to meet the full spectrum of suppliers to the
hospitality industry, including producers of computer hardware and software,
fitness, spa and pool equipment, furniture, interior design, tableware, kitchen
equipment, management and reservation systems, telecommunications systems
and uniforms. |
