Showcasing a record number of its properties from across Asia Pacific, North
America and Europe, Hyatt expects the 2004 Hyatt Fairs to attract strong attendance.
Taking place between the 1st and 11th of June at Grand Hyatt hotels in Beijing,
Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore, the Fairs will offer corporate travel buyers
and industry decision makers from around the region the opportunity to hear
personally about Hyatt's latest developments and discuss future business
opportunities.
"It is a clear indicator of success that more than 30 Hyatt Hotels and Resorts will
attend in Hong Kong and Singapore, and over 20 in Beijing and Shanghai,"
commented Grahame Carder, vice president - marketing, Asia/Pacific, Hyatt
International. "As the world increasingly looks towards Asia as the future of the
travel industry, our four chosen host cities are already significant source markets
for travel within Asia and increasingly important for those in the Pacific, North
America and Europe, " he added.
The Hyatt Fairs in Shanghai and Beijing will also introduce the new hotel projects
in China. These account for nearly 50 per cent of all Hyatt International properties
currently under development. Mainland China will see nine new Hyatt hotels open
over the next three years including the company's first Park Hyatt in China - Park
Hyatt Beijing, and in Guangzhou Grand Hyatt Guangzhou, plus seven new Hyatt
Regency hotels in Hangzhou, Dongguan, Nanjing, Chongqing, Shanghai, Sanya
and Ningbo.
Hyatt Fairs have seen consistent growth since inception ten years ago.
The Fairs are structured for corporate and travel industry appointments during the
day, and a celebratory cocktails in the evening proceeding the event.
There are 210 Hyatt hotels and resorts around the world, which are managed by
two separate groups of companies. Subsidiaries of Hyatt International Corporation operate, manage or franchise 88 hotels and resorts in 38 countries,
with an additional 21 hotels under development. Hyatt Corporation, a separate
company, and its subsidiaries operate, manage, franchise or lease 122 hotels and
resorts in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Schedule
