Three senior executives of Hawaiian Airlines have arrived in Sydney to begin
preparations for nonstop services to Honolulu.
Last week, the airline announced it had sought Government approval for four
weekly Boeing 767-300ER flights, which it plans to launch from 18 May.
A key feature of the Hawaiian plan is a schedule designed to maximise holiday
time, with evening departures from Sydney and late-morning arrivals in Honolulu
the same day, enabling visitors to be on the beach by early afternoon, or to make
same day connections to outer islands. Return flights will leave Honolulu at
1.30pm, arriving in Sydney at 7.30pm the following day. |
