Business Travel Expo Hong Kong,
a platform for travel industry suppliers to meet directly with businesses that
buy and arrange travel in Southeast Asia, has announced that The South China Morning Post
is to be the show’s official media partner for 2005.
Now in its fourth year, Business Travel Expo will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from March
22-23, 2005. The show allows frequent business travellers and the people responsible for planning and managing business travel
for their companies to meet direct with airlines, hotels and travel management companies.
“We are delighted by the partnership with The South China Morning Post, and we are certain that its unrivalled ability to reach
key business decision makers in Hong Kong will assist us in delivering to the show an even better high quality attendance than
this year,” said Paul Robin, Director of Business Travel Expo.
“Efficient business travel purchasing and planning is of great concern to our readership of senior executives, and so teaming up
with the Business Travel Expo is very much in the interests of our readers and their businesses,” said Sebrina Mak, Assistant
Director of Display Advertising of The South China Morning Post.
The partnership will culminate in a ‘Business Travel’ Special Report in the South China Morning Post coming out a week before
the Expo.
Last year’s show was hailed as a great success and attracted over 1500 visitors and a record 58 exhibitors, and included a
sell-out seminar programme.
Paul Robin commented: “Still relatively few companies fully understand the benefits of a properly managed travel policy, which
can lead to cost savings and better service levels and ultimately benefit all traveling executives – all of which they can learn by
attending the Expo.”
“The business travel market in Asia is evolving, with the impact of online bookings and low cost carriers playing an increasingly
significant role. Visitors to the expo can gain a better understanding of the opportunities these developments present by
attending the seminar programme,” said Robin.
