Travel News Asia 20 July 2004

Children traveling on Qatar Airways will now be able to enjoy new tasty children's meals and a new range of toys, as part of the airline's commitment to looking after the needs of even the smallest of its passengers.

While the stylish Ollie Oryx daypack remains the same, children will now be able to enjoy a new range of complimentary gifts and activities inside the bag.

Children traveling on any Qatar Airways flight will now receive a scrapbook, coloring pencils, sunglasses, a wallet, game sets, and a drinking bottle. Children under 3 years of age will receive a tremble aircraft toy.

Qatar Airways has also introduced a new fun children's meal kit.

The new children's meal will be presented in a complimentary school lunch box, which will contain a hot meal, a pastry, chips, a chocolate bar, juice, a bread roll and butter and a Gumy bottle.

"It's important to Qatar Airways that we look after the needs of every passenger - including infants and children," said Qatar Airways Catering Controller Mr. Rajan Chopra.

"Offering children tasty food that is also fun, and activities that they can enjoy while onboard, are important parts of our service," he said.

Children traveling on the airline's new A330s can also play a range of video games that will entertain them on longer haul flights.

The new Qatar Airways Waves in-flight entertainment system also offers children a  range of cartoons, music clips, a special children's channel with fun stories, and the chance to create their own personal music play lists.
