This month sees the launch of Delivering Britain, an
innovative new company focused on delivering the British travel market to Asian
organisations. Delivering Britian is an alliance partner of The Delivering Group.
Providing professional, up-to-the-minute advice for companies seeking to build
market knowledge and sales & marketing capability in the UK, Delivering Britain
aims to assist Asian companies in gaining a competitive advantage in the rapidly
expanding British travel market. It achieves this by focussing on customers’ brand
awareness, providing key services such as trade show representation, corporate
presentations, media scheduling, public relations and sales missions.
Delivering Britain will
also conduct agency training seminars on its clients’ behalves, enabling the agent to sell the customers’ products with
confidence, thereby increasing the sales potential.
Sandra McMoreland, founder of Delivering Britain and travel trade expert, believes
the new company fills an important gap in the market: “Very few companies have
extensive knowledge of both the UK and Asian markets. At Delivering Britain we
have expertise in both. We understand not just the needs of the British market but
also the real issues and challenges faced by the industry in Asia; we can marry
these together to provide a really successful sales and marketing strategy for our
customers.”
Sandra herself has considerable international travel trade and cross sector
experience, having dealt with key players in all facets of the industry throughout
the Asia Pacific region and Britain over the past twelve years. For the last five
years – prior to setting up Delivering Britain - Sandra worked in Asia for the Accor
Hotel Group, where she developed a real understanding of cultural sensitivities.
Her work with British travel players has also provided excellent experience and
knowledge of the dynamics of the British travel trade.
Delivering Britain’s customers will also benefit from a strategic alliance with
Delivering Asia - a leading hospitality sales and marketing group in
Asia, with offices in key cities around the world. Working closely together enables both companies
to increase market penetration and provides excellent opportunities for cross
selling and promotion. “Together,” states Sandra, “we will build our clients’
brands to the point where they are easily recognisable around the world and
people will actually ask for them”. |
